The Application Process
To secure a property we would request that you email the office This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to confirm your intentions and provide the following information for the group:
- Full names
- Telephone numbers
- Course details
- Email addresses
- Guarantor names
- Guarantor email addresses and phone numbers
- Room choice of each person
- A photo of each person is also required along with photo ID
- Does the group wish to opt into the Unihomes bills inclusive package?
You will then shortly receive a response and if you have been successful in securing your chosen property we will request a holding deposit from each person equivalent to 1 x weeks rent payable directly into our bank account.
The property will be removed from our advertising as soon as the holding fee is received.
Once your application is complete you will then receive your contract electronically to be signed. When signing the contract you are entering into a fixed term tenancy and you will be legally bound to meet all conditions within the contract. Both tenant and guarantor will be asked to sign the tenancy agreement.
Please note that the timescale to complete all of the above is 15 days (unless there is an agreed extension)
Once the contract has been signed by all parties we will ask that you pay your deposit.
Your deposit will be registered with the Deposit Protection Service.
Your holding fee will be put towards your first months’ rent and the balance must be paid prior to the first day of your contract.
Moving In!
Upon the commencement of your tenancy, your keys will be at the office ready for you to collect. You will be required to make an appointment in advance to collect your keys. Keys will not be released unless proof of identification is brought along with you. If you wish another tenant to collect your keys please contact the office and confirmation of this arrangement will be required in writing. Please note our office opening hours are from 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
